Tackling the climate crisis in Canada (WLSA Info Session)

Caroline Lee will discuss what needs to happen for Canada to achieve a net zero, climate resilient, prosperous economy including the challenges and opportunities ahead. 

Caroline is Senior Research Associate with the Canadian Institute for Climate Choices, a federally-funded independent think tank providing climate policy recommendations for Canadian?governments. Before joining the Climate Institute, she worked on climate policy at the global level at the International Energy Agency, with the Province of New Brunswick, and as an Energy Consultant with Navius Research. Her foray into climate policy was as a Masters student in energy-economy modelling and as a youth climate activist. 

The first 40 minutes of this talk will be open to all students and will provide a taste of what the Wilson Leadership Scholar Award is like.  After the initial session is over, Caroline and the Wilson Leaders will continue a private breakout room conversation while, in the main room, attendees can find out more about the Wilson Leadership Scholar Award.
