Jan 10, 2024 03:30 PM to 04:30 PM
Online

Registration Deadline: Jan 10, 2024 02:00 PM

Registration for the Winter 2024 Co-op preparation course for Engineering Graduate Students (Engineer 701) is now open on Mosaic. Join us in-person for a brief information session to learn more!

Wednesday, January 10th (3:30 - 4:30pm) - please register in OSCARplus (the link will be sent to register students by 12:00pm on January 10th.)

E701 is required for all graduate students who would like to seek co-op in the upcoming terms, and it is recommended that students take the course at least 2 terms ahead of when they would like to work for the best success in finding employment. Did you know that McMaster University has the second largest co-op program in Canada?

What are the next steps?

1. Attend the information session on January 10th (optional)

2. Register for Engineer 701 in Mosaic

3. Complete the registration steps that can be located on the ECCS Graduate Co-op Information Page: https://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/co-op-career/co-op-program/#tab-content-graduate-students

4. Attend and pass E701 and apply for a co-op work permit (if required) - this process can take up to 165 days so students are encouraged to apply by mid-January to be eligible to work in September 2024

  • Students that are enrolled in MASc, MSc and MEng programs are eligible to go out on a co-op work term (4-12 months) after completing 8 months/2 academic terms of studies
  • PhD students are eligible after completing their comprehensive exam
  • The course will start on Friday, January 25th and run for 6 weeks, from 1:00 pm - 2:30pm
