Registration for the Fall 2023 Co-op preparation course for Engineering Graduate Students (Engineer 701) is now open on Mosaic. Join us in-person for a brief information session to learn more! 

Monday, September 11 (4:00-5:00pm) - please register in OSCARplus (the link will be sent to register students by 12:00pm on September 11)

E701 is required for all graduate students who would like to seek co-op in the upcoming terms, and it is recommended that students take the course at least 2 terms ahead of when they would like to work for the best success in finding employment. Did you know that McMaster University has the second largest co-op program in Canada?

What are the next steps?

1. Attend the information session on September 11 (optional)

2. Register for Engineer 701 in Mosaic

3. Complete the registration form (https://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/co-op-career/co-op-program/co-op-for-graduate-engineering-students/) ELECTRONICALLY and upload to the Mac Drive (https://macdrive.mcmaster.ca/u/d/ef4920e541fc456ab36c/) following this naming convenion (MacID, Student #). Please note - there are 2 different forms so please ensure you complete the correct form for your program

  • W Booth (SEPT) E701 Graduate Co-op Registration
  • E701 Graduate Co-op Registration/Supervisor Form
4. Attend and pass E701 and apply for a co-op work permit (if required) - this process can take up to 165 days so students are encouraged to apply by mid-October to be eligible to work in May 2024
  • Students that are enrolled in MASc, MSc and MEng programs are eligible to go out on a co-op work term (4-12 months) after completing 8 months/2 academic terms of studies
  • PhD students are eligible after completing their comprehensive exam
  • The course will start on Thursday, September 21 and run for 6 weeks, from 9:00-10:30am
